Gospel Singer Attacked By Armed Robbers.
Popular gospel singer, Chris Morgan, was reportedly attacked at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Saturday 2nd June 2018.
According to reports, the singer was driving along the Airport road Abuja with his crew members when they came across a broken down vehicle in front of them.
Mr. Morgan said that they disembarked from their vehicle to ascertain the reason for the vehicle breakdown and were suddenly attacked by heavily armed robbers.
According to the singer, the robbers went away with their cash and other valuables and assaulted him with a knife. In his statement to the press, he said, “the man took his knife and wanted to slit my throat, and I began to shout Jesus and hit the sword and it injured my hand.”
The said he managed to run away from the robbers after which they went after his boys. The boys quickly ran into the bush and escaped after a prolonged chase by the armed men.
Chris Morgan also said, “I was in the middle of the road shouting for help in the pool of my blood when a woman saw me and recognized me. She quickly opened her back door and helped me to enter”
“It was God who saved me and my team. I thank God no life was lost. It was just another distraction by the enemy.”
Christians in Nigeria have in recent times confronted the Government on the recent spike in violent crimes in the country.
